WHO WE ARE

"Black & Gray" comes from each partners last name.

More importantly, it is a statement

about how the challenge of addiction

is not simply "black and white", but mainly gray.

ANDREW BLACKBIRD, RPC

Graduating with honours in the Counselling Diploma program at Maritime Business College, Andrew has enveloped practical knowledge and skills matched with firsthand experience to provide an authentic approach in treating those suffering from addictions.

For the past several years, Andrew has gained experience working at a sober living home with males in recovery, as well as working at a mental health facility as a residential counsellor. He continues to work with individuals in a variety of age groups and cultural backgrounds that require treatment for addiction and mental health.

In his own recovery, Andrew attributes his ongoing success to staying balanced. While acknowledging the value of 12 Step programs, Andrew likes to explore alternative approaches to recovery. Understanding the 12 Steps may not be for everyone, Andrew will work with clients to determine the path best suited for them.
